Background

I served in the United States Navy (Communications); I have an Honorable Discharge and I am a Viet Nam Veteran.

I started my career in the Bell System, in 1969, with Southern New England Telephone. I worked in Outside Plant Assignment, Facilities Engineering, and Customer Training (CE&A) departments. While in the CE&A organization, I provided training on the first Electronic Tandem Network (ETN) and delivered custom management training on Centrex based communications systems. Promoted to the CE&A staff organization where I developed field training on the Dimension Private Branch Exchange (PBX) Customer Administration Control System (CACS).

I transferred to AT&T Long Lines, 1980, to provide training on AT&T’s Network Control Operation Support System (NCOSS) and ETN maintenance for all Long Lines, Bell Operating Companies involved with ETN network support and select network customer groups,.

I joined AT&T Information Systems (IS), as manager of the new IS NCOSS Center. My next IS assignment was supervising network technicians in the IS Eastern Region Systems Control Office (SCO), which provided technical support on hybrid network maintenance for AT&T Fortune 500 customers. While in the SCO, I assisted in developing and implementing a multi vendor trouble tracking system and presented the ticket system at the ETN customer user group conferences.

I became a manager at the AT&T Operations Headquarters, Bedminster, NJ, to project manage implementation and maintenance of Customer Network Support systems. I provided technical support on the multi vendor Trouble Ticket Application (TTA), used for hybrid network maintenance. My assignments included project support for the first customer application of the Service Node Controller, Bell Labs interface for Hybrid Networks, and member of the Integrated Network Management System (INMS) project team. I then transferred to the AT&T Marking Regional technical Marketing Center (RTMC) Eastern Region, to manage the engineering support group for SDN administration and Tariff 12 customers.

I joined AT&T Corporate Security and Claims in 1991 to manage the AT&T Corporate Claims group. I facilitated the increase in claim recoveries to an 85% collection rate by applying and managing the loss of use theory to damaged AT&T facility claims. I introduced the loss of use theory to the telecommunications industry in 1995. I represented AT&T in industry efforts for underground facility damage prevention and assisted in legal support for damage cases and State One Call laws. I retired as Director of Corporate Claims from AT&T in 2004 as a result of company wide downsizing efforts.

I joined Claims Management Resources (CMR) in 2004, whose headquarters is in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to manage their New York location. CMR specializes in damage expense recoveries for utility companies. In 2006 I relocated to my home office to continue supporting CMR client accounts and providing damage report training.

I left CMR in 2008 to become an independent contractor, working out of my home office, specializing in utility industry damage claim activities.
